Andrew's remarks are so apt. I have attended four Conferences, and they are all a pleasure to recall. David made everything seem so easy; he and Eugenia were a great team. David will be missed by many people: I will miss him for many reasons. His quirky sense of humour always delighted me: he was great company.

All of us who have participated in the Greek Conferences will have fond memories of David. Everything that he organised seemed to work beautifully. Generally, he made things easy for us. He also helped us personally and he did so with style and humour. David never imposed his burdens on us ans he relieved us od our own burdens. We are all better persons for having known David and we will miss him greatly. Andrew Alston
