I am the other schoolgirl in the photo with Annette (Maureen Larkin) she was my best friend. I loved her. Her family were the kindest, most generous people, always room for me at the table. I have such great memories of those days growing up in Chippendale, going to Victoria Park Swimming Pool, long hot summers and walking home from school in the rain. I loved her.

Our friendship was too short lived. You were a very beautiful person Annette with such a gentle soul. Paul and I loved the time spent with you and I feel privileged to have been a part of your life. Don't worry, I will look after him for you!
