I had the privilege of working with Chuck,and sharing an office with him for the last 2 years. Chuck's courage in facing his medical battles was amazing and an inspiration to all of us. I can't recall any complaints just a quiet determination always. We always enjoyed a diverse range of conversation, with basketball always near the top of the list. Chuck was a great role model, a true friend, and will be missed by all that new him.

Chuck was a great mate, a great coach to many people in many different ways and a wonderful human being. He championed the underdog and always spoke his mind. He will be sadly missed by all his family and by his many friends in basketball, none more so than by the Kirtley family.
