1990, Alice Springs, you and Iggy , your brand new ute and Angie and I , heading bush, Finke River, Ormiston Gorge, the young Brolga who followed us around.... The laughter and the education in experiencing art will forever be with me. I only recently found out about your passing and I'm deeply saddened by it... Such a huge loss to the Australian Modern Art Movement.
David was so warm, charismatic and generous. He knew how to make you feel included, part of the fun of life. My long ago memories of life fresh out of HSC on the Peninsula, all of us set loose up in Noosa Heads, with David king of fun at Noosa Tent Village, are real treasures. My sympathies to all of his family and close friends, Kate Wilkins
David's kindness and gentleness will always be remembered by Francesca Sophia Wardell and Elizabeth Loane. You helped me climb Mt Pigeonhouse and came to the children's birthday parties and they loved you so much. You made life better. my love and prayers to Fiona and Henry and James

You were such a beautiful and kind bloke Dave - I will al;ways remember you with fondness and carry images and thoughts about your wonderful life - those years in Fitzroy and more recently at Somers. My love and thoughts to Fiona and the boys. Tony Oliver
