Des was Director of Pharmacy in the first hospital that I worked in. He was a fair, open-minded boss with optimal patient care as his priority. He was a great inspiration to me as a young Pharmacist and many of his professional values have remained with me and are incorporated in all of my aspects of Pharmacy practice including academia.
