I first met Eithne when I moved over to Ireland back in 2006. I would have danced with Eithne with Damhsa and had had many nights out and performed some great gigs. You always struck me as someone that wasn't phased by anything, when I found out you were a doctor I remember being totally blown away by you. You always made me laugh and I always looked forward to hanging out with you. We had a great time at my 30th birthday and I will always remember how amazing that night was with you being there. We had a great time in Germany and Belgium with Damhsa and I really do laugh out load when I think of them nights. When I think of you Eithne I will always remember the fun that we had. You really were the most talented and brilliant girl that I ever met. I will never forget your smile and your amazing attitude. You truly were an inspirational person to me, and I will never forget you. My prayers are with the Walls family and everyone who had the privilage of knowing Eithne.

Her mother called her "Etty Petty," which I thought fit her perfectly as she was youngest and so sweet and dear to her family. The shock of this tragedy is wearing off, but the sadness remains. My heart aches for her family, and for her many friends from around the world who miss her so much.

Eithne words can't convey how much you will be missed. Your lovely smile will forever be etched in my mind. I feel privileged to have known you and will cherish the times we had together - whether dancing on the many Riverdance flying squad gigs around the world over the years, more recently at the Damhsa gigs or having a giggle and fun on the dance floor on the many nights out! Your positivity and vivacious personality brought smiles to whoever was in your company. You accomplished so much in your life. My heartfelt thoughts are with the Walls family at this time. The world has lost a gem, she will forever shine in our memory, xxx

Eithne, as you dance onto your next adventure you leave behind many heavy hearts. Eithne I will forever cherish all of our magic moments together. From our very first gig together ten years ago in Rome, to all those funny times in Germany, when you nursed me back to health in Chemnitz!! Being spoiled rotten in Qatar, not forgetting all our giggly nights in the Gaiety and swapping our Trinity gossip during college! You are a gem and you will be deeply missed. My love and prayers are with the Walls family at this time, Eithne is a true credit to you all. Rest in peace doll... x maeve x

I will always remember Eithne as an extremely caring, fun-loving, hard-working, happy & sparkling person. I will cherish the many memories I have of Eithne, from our weekly train trips to dancing class in Dundalk all those years ago to the flying squad and damhsa gigs of recent times -and of course all those great nights out. Eithne was truly one in a million and words can't express how much she will be missed. My heart goes out to the Walls family and to her boyfriend Hugh at this time. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers Eithne-xxx

Words cannot even begin to express our deepest sorrow for a very special lady who was a great friend and one that will be part of our lives forever. A best friend! She was a ray of sunshine and always saw the brighter sides of things and people. If you were stuck for anything Eithne was always someone you could rely on no matter what. The memories of our nights out and all our gigs together with Damhsa will never be forgotten and always bring a smile to our faces. May the good memories and great friendships she developed with everyone over the years give everyone the positive strength to deal with this sad occasion. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Sleep tight Eithne.xxx

My deepest sympathy to all the McGourty and Walls family. Eithne was the daughter of my sister-in-law Mary Walls and the cousin of my children. I have very fond memories of Eithne. She visited us in Liverpool when attending an Irish dancing competition in Manchester. Our son Julian, Eithnes cousin, now 15, was then one year of age. Eithne played with him in Greenbank park and we have a video as a memory of this. She was a very sweet girl and I am so sad to hear about the tragedy that ended her young life. I wish all the strenght to her family, Mary, Raymond, Kathryn, Raymond and Gerard and to all the McGourty and Walls family in Ireland. Helena

Eithne was a ray of sunshine and brightened any room she stepped into. She always looked on the bright side of life and brought the best out in people. I shared many laughs and great times with Eithne and she will always be in my thoughts and prayers. My prayers are also with Eithne's Family for their tragic loss of there beautiful daughter. Eithne was not only a star on stage but in life in general and will always be remembered that way.

Eithne, I will never forget the day we spent just hanging out just before you went to Brazil. We laughed, giggled and joked around and said "no dancing talk!!!" We shopped til we dropped and it was a happy day with much laughter and fun! You were one in a million with a special and loving presence that I will never forget. I loved to watch you dance and thank you for all the memorable performances now that we have in Damhsa. I will always remember you and hope that you are smiling down on us somewhere. Miss you...x

We only knew you for a short time but you left a huge impression on us. We had the joy of living with you when you were down in Waterford. You had such a bubbly personality, nothing ever got you down - it didn't matter how long a shift you had worked you were always full of life. We remember coming home and finding you fast asleep on the couch - we were never sure whether to wake you up or just leave you be - you looked so peaceful. We remember fondly how precious your little mini was to you and how we were all so impressed that you could park it so well in the tiniest of spaces. You always spoke of your family and friends and we knew that they meant the world to you. You were so determined to succeed and you had achieved so much in such a short life. We're glad you were part of our lives even if briefly - we will never forget you and will miss you lots. Leanne, Jane & Nicola

The picture in the dressing room was on my birthday. I arrived in to see that Eithne had decorated my mirror with ballons and ribbons. Typical of how thoughtful she was. I sat next to Eithne in the dressing room and most of my memories are from there. She was always laughing, and making everyone else laugh. She talked loads about her mum and how she helped achieve her dream (medicine at Trinity). She was so friendly to everyone and had such a kind nature. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eithnes family, Raymond we are thinking of you. Love and lollipops Claire and Jonathan McMorrow

I was devasted to hear of the horrific tragedy which took Eithne to God so quickly! My heart goes out to her wonderful parents and family at this sad time. What a loss she will be to humanity with her skills as a doctor of medicine, and to the irish dancing fraternity for her pure talent as an Irish dancer!, both at Feiseanna and in Show Dancing. I had the privilidge of adjudicating her at Feiseanna and placing her 1st. She was, and will always be, a shining star! May God keep her safe in Heaven - until she is re-united with her family and friends. Slan Eithne! You brought so much joy, love and happiness into our lives in your young life. You will never be forgotten! With deepest sympathy. Olive Hurley. TCRG/ADCRG.

The first thing I noticed about Eithne was her smile. Funny, that seems to be what I keep picturing when I think of her. Such a beautiful person in all ways who was taken from us too soon. We will miss you Eithne but we know you're shining down upon us:-)

EIthne was a magical person who lit up the room when she walked into it. She was everyone's a friend and always saw the good in everyone. She had goals and she wasnt afraid to put in the work to achieve them which is why she accomplished so much and was such a success in her short lifetime. I am truely privilidged to have known you and had you as my friend. Sleep peacefully where ever you are....you will always live on in all our hearts x
