To Evan's family, especially Marty, I extend my deepest sympathy. I will never forget his smile and his laughter and how he would jump up to help me in the house if he thought I needed it. To all the friends whom I know are grieving so enormously,
I hope you find comfort in your great memories. Evan often seemed to put your needs before his and I know you loved him for many reasons. Be comforted that he is now in a safe place and nothing can ever hurt him again.

Never did I see a sad face on Evan. He was always so fun to talk to because he was such a character and always was enjoying what he was doing. I remember spinning him around in my arms when he was just a small boy. Years later we played video games and went skiing out East with family. He would show me how to feed all the animals him and his mom looked after. I can not imagine what his parents are going through. My heart goes out to them and all who knew him. I hope we can find some peace in all of this knowing that Evan touched all the people he knew. His mom helped me to get a summer job and I got a chance to see Evan through so many stages of his life. The last time I saw him he was all grown up and looking like a true gentleman in his suit and tie. I will never forget him.

I will always remember you as that cute little boy with the big smile. You knew I boasted of the fact I was the youngest mom in the neighbourhood, so you could not resist teasing me by yelling 'hey!..........hi old lady'...........every time you saw me across the street! You always said hello, even when you suddenly grew into that tall, handsome guy I barely recognized.
Your mom filled your summer with camping and fishing trips, with reptiles and snakes and anything else that would stimulate a young boy and make him happy. And you were so happy, I remember that quite clearly. I pray that these are the memories she holds on to, that give her comfort. I know it is how I'll always remember you, Evan.

Evan... you tall lanky young man. It was only last month that you and I shared a birthday cake. I decades older than you. You a young man with dreams.
I remember your mother bringing you to visit your Aunt when you were just a toddler yet that big smile was there shinning through just like it was in July.
Evan...God is holding you close now. I hope your mother and family find comfort knowing that.

I didn't know Evan but this sad occurrence has really affected me. I have a son as well who is 22 and Evan looks so much like my son that I froze when I saw his picture. I have received quite a few phone calls from people who are just stunned by the resemblance. To Evan's parents, I am so sad for you . Evan has the smile of a beautiful young man with a kind soul. I feel like I know him and I am so sorry. .
