I was overwhelmed with sadness at the sudden loss of “our friend” George Khattar . When we first met in 1983 at O.L.O.L , I was a fresh Commerce/Law graduate from NSW Uni, and he was preparing for his HSC . I was so impressed with the uniqueness of his character , displaying passion and compassion to life and people in general. Throughout the years , I discovered George to be an optimist through his Christian faith , never to be intimidated by “impossibilities” but rather , was motivated by the “possibilities”. Since we all can reach sainthood through the way we live our lives , I am sure that our beloved George attained that honor at the guiding hands of his father Naim and Mother Noura who are a classical example of a “true Christian family” , especially within our Australian-Lebanese Community. Well , farewell my dear friend , God has other plans for you in heaven…May His Will be on earth as it is in Heaven….. I don’t believe that you are dead , you simply crossed the bridge to eternity with God . Our heart felt condolences to George’s wife Carol and daughters Georgia and Alana , and especially to His parents Naim and Noura , and Brothers Joe and Raymond and sisters Sultane and Maria …with love always from Tony and Eliane Boujaoudeh
