Gerrit Jan Komrij was een Nederlands dichter, schrijver, vertaler, criticus, polemist en toneelschrijver. Hij was van 2000 tot 2004 de Dichter des Vaderlands. Hij stond bekend om zijn virtuoze en kleurrijke taalgebruik.
