He was the one who looked so much like Dad. He was our blonde headed, curly haired baby who we loved so much. Unfortunately, i wasn't there during much of his growing up years, as I had already married and moved away, but I loved him as always. We didn't get to see as much of each other as I would have liked but with each others commitments it wasn't easy. It didn't seem to matter as the feelings were still there. He was always my little brother He was so lucky to meet the love of his life, Leonie. Love and miss him!

Dad,I miss you... You never said 'I'm leaving' You never said 'Goodbye' You were gone before I knew it And only God knew why There are no words to tell you Just what I feel inside The shock, the hurt, the anger Might gradually subside A million times I'll need you A million times I'll cry If love alone could have saved you You never would have died In life I loved you dearly In death I love you still In my heart you hold a place That no one could ever fill It broke my heart to lose you But you didn't go alone For part of me went with you The day God took you home Things will never be the same And although it hurts so bad I will smile whenever I hear your name And be proud you are my Dad.

When will I see you again. There was no goodbye, Not a single word was said. No parting kiss to seal anything. We had no idea of the state you were in.....

Graeme Robert Browne was born at Paddington on the 22nd. May, 1955, to Elizabeth and Lionel Browne. He was the middle child of thirteen, and always loved the fun and laughter that ensued when the Browne clan got together. Growing up in Silverwater, Graeme would share stories of how as a baby, he slept in a opened drawer. When he cried, Pop Browne would stretch out his leg and push the drawer closed. And how he believed he would never go bald due to his brother Royston giving him a lit match so he could get the two bob out of the petrol tank of the old car in the back yard. He reckoned he looked like a blown up character from the cartoons. When his father became ill, Graeme left school early and worked two jobs to help support the family. Graeme married Leonie thirty eight years ago, and together they raised three sons. He was so proud of his boys. Graeme was usually the manager of the soccer, football or baseball team, helping at training sessions and racing from game to game on Saturdays. He and Danny shared a love of pigeons, and would spend many hours together training and racing them. They also worked together for many years, and were more like best mates than father and son. Lucas's sporting career was a great source of pride - firstly representing Parramatta Eels in Harold Matthews and SG Ball, then later, his boxing career, always showing off newspaper clippings, magazine stories, and tapes of his fights. He also took a keen interest in Patricks' music career, taking his new release CD's to work, for staff who were into heavy metal. He was a devoted Pa to Renee, Leah, Angelica, Billy, Isaac and Nicholas, and they will have many happy memories of fun times to cherish. Leonie's parents, Gwen and Eric were blessed when Graeme became their son-in-law, his gentle and caring nature shining through, particularly as they aged. But the love of his life was his adored Leonie, who he treated like a queen. Their relationship was the most precious of all. Graeme loved the simple things in life - family, friends, his garden, and of course, his pigeons. He worked hard to provide the opportunities he was unable to have. He had a great work ethic, and was so proud of what he and Leonie had achieved. The family would like to thank everyone for their attendance here today. The love and support shown over the last week has been overwhelming, and a great source of comfort. Particular thanks to the wonderful neighbours and friends who rushed to help Graeme and Leonie in their most desperate hour. He may have lived a relatively short life, but Graeme saw his boys grow to men, Patrick, his youngest, marry his lovely wife Carly last year, experienced the joy of six grandchildren, and enjoyed a loving, successful marriage. He passed peacefully in his lovely garden surrounded by his birds, rich in love, happiness and contentment. Gone too soon.
