i met heath when they were doing the movie broke back mountain.He pulled the durango he was driving up beside my car and stopped so my friend and her children could get pics with him.He was very nice and very much a gentleman.We are all sad to hear of his death,My heart goes out to his family .

I remember first seeing Heath Ledger several years ago on Australian television in a show called "roar" and i thought he was so gorgeous, from then on I followed his acting career, his posters adorning my teenage bedroom walls. I was hooked and was a fan from then on in. Today I woke up in a world where that wonderful beautiful talented man is no longer with us and i just cant believe hes gone. I never met him but yet he is so familiar to me that i am so sad, its like someone I knew personally has gone. My heart breaks to think of his little girl growing up without him, you could see that they had a special bond and that he adored her. Matilda will be able to remember her father whenever she looks into a mirror, he is there, she has his looks. His star had only just began to really shine and in an instant he is gone. Goodbye Heath from one of your millions of fans who is utterly shattered and heartbroken that you're gone.

The first time I saw him, I was awestruck. His acting was effortless and I felt it in every bone I had. He made me feel everything that his character did. I was so impressed by him, some might call it love. As a lesbian I don't know what to call it. I knew he was a star. I'm so sad for Michelle, his daughter and his family. We have all lost a brilliant actor, and the family, they have lost so much more. Thank you Heath for taking chances. Thank you for being more interested in the roles than the money.
