Growing up with Ivor from primary school days, through adolescence, playing football and cricket, holidaying, and socialising together was just a joy. He chose me to be his Best Man. What an honour for me. I still talk to Captain Fantastic daily. And he still laughs at my jokes.

My heartache will never cease ........I miss him beyond words. I have lost my soulmate, my best friend, my lover and husband.
I know he wished some of his friends and family would be with him in his most hours of need, but alas not so. Martin, Daniel and Linda walked beside him every step of the way right to his last breath. Our world was and will always remain a very special place.
I love you .....................Linda

My memory of Ivor was playing cricket for BayGreen cc He could have played at a higher standard but chose rather to play with his friends this was the measure of the man. He was unfailingly curtious and supportive to all those around him. I considered myself lucky to have had him as a friend and he will be sadly missed by us. Len and Pat

My abiding memory of Ivor would have to be on the sports field. I played football and cricket for many years with him and he always had poise and grace. He chose to play cricket with his friends rather than play for a 'better' club and that speaks volumes for his character. As he was on the spoorts field so he was in life, multi talented, unassuming and calm, the perfect Englishman. He is still here; you just can't see him.
Goodbye old friend.

Myself and Ivor go back over 50years I have wonderful sporting. memories when we played together for Aquila football team and cricket for Bay Green. Ivor was always a very competetive sportsman we.also enjoyed playing squash together in our early years. We enjoyed many occasions in the UK with the Claydon family and in particular dining in the Casalinga in St. John's Wood. We visited Ivor, Linda and the boys 3 years ago and it is a memory we will never forget we stayed with them and they made us feel part of the family and we saw Sydney as we would not have experienced on our own. Ivor will be greatly missed by us all.
