Rest in peace, Jeremy.
Your loss will be strongly felt in the industrial relations and journalistic circles where you contributed so much during your life.
I had the privilege of working with you in both arenas and will never forget your sense of social justice, good humour and talent that truly set you apart from the pack.
In solidarity,
Rachelle.

It was a complete fluke that I noticed Jeremy's notice in The Australian. The gods led me to it and I'm sad and glad that they did.
It was always a grand thing to visit Jeremy in his lofty King St abode. You never knew what you would learn, or who you would meet. The only guarantee was illumination. And, more often that not, a cup of tea.
JV, a terrific bloke who noticed and cared about the important things. Ideologically and musically sound, a dapper dresser, one of a kind.

Jeremy was a great person who cared for people, who used his intelligence and skills to contribute to an Australian society that he believed would serve Australia and all Australian justly, intelligently and fairly There is a large group of us from Sydney who have known Jeremy for many years he was not connected to us by his career but by friendship alone and he was much loved by all who knew him, known and cared for as a very kind, funny, generous and intelligent friend. I send my heart felt condolences to his family, parents and particularly to his son and daughter who he loved so much and thought the world of.

A truly decent human being, a compassionate man of principal, elan and intellect. A good friend and robust conversationalist. I am deeply saddened and grief stricken at his passing.
Condolences to his family, also to Jacqueline and her son John ( to whom Jeremy was for many years like another father).
RIP

Finally, do something. As JFK once said: "There are risks and costs to a programme of action, but they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." Deo Volente! Never not loved.
