Happy new year Dad Going to put 2008 behind us, a year that we will never forget but for all the wrong reasons. We did a toast to you last night at midnight, for Baz, Joe and Mike as well. Left a small whiskey out for you. Lets hope 2009 will bring us some joy. Love you Karen xxx

Happy Christmas Dad. I did dinner for the first time yesterday, would have loved you to have been there with us all. We were saying you would have piled your plate mountain high...and would have finished the lot off. Then probably fall asleep in the chair with some food down your top ha ha. We all went to moss yesterday, put flowers and wreaths there for you, we know your not there anymore and its upsetting to go sometimes, I believe you are with us all the time but feel like I have to make the last place you were part of my life. Ange and Karen gave me a lovely present, a picture of me and you on the subway - the one that you took with you, with a lovely verse, I'll keep that forever. Wish you were still here dad...its really unfair, but for now goodbye. Sleep Tight Karen xxxxxx

Happy 62nd Birthday Dad Wherever you may be now, make sure you have a little birthday celebration with Frank and Joe....have yourself a whiskey, my mum won't find out. Its going to be a sad day for us all, your first birthday without you here. I know you won't want us to be sad so I'll have a drink with you later on and a toast for you. My thoughts are always with you, on holiday at the moment, I should be bringing you back some rum and a big fat cigar like I usually do...can't do that now. We were in this American diner the other night and it had a life size model of Jimmy Dean....I thought of you and got a picture with it....you would have looked good stood next to that. I believe you are still with us, somewhere close in a place that is probably better than where we are now.....waiting for us all, so until that day I see you again....God bless Miss you always Love you forever Karen xxxx
