I first met Max when he attended my Criminal Law tutorials at Monash University His warmth, generosity of spirit and welcoming smile has remained with me and each year as we wished each other good yomtov at Elwood Shule or when we met in the community Max would always pause for a chat and leave with a smile. He will remain always fondly in my memory.
