I'm proud to say I worked with Jane and knew her over a period of 6 years. She was definitely a unique person, and someone I considered a great colleague at work, as well as someone I could call a friend at work. The world will be a little bit less unique without her.

Bright star Jane, shining forth, burning with such intensity. Finding you up in St Vinnies with your purple faux rug and surrounded by your stuff, looking like you'd been there for months, you took my arm and asked if I would accompany you outside for a fag. Yes. Everyone stared as we made our way, you beautiful waif with bald head and that magnificent slash across it. And so for me began my small journey across this last year with you my little kiwi princess. We had lots in common and lots not. Lots of laughs always. And I grew to love you dearest child. And that is always a good thing. And I feel so so sad you have gone brave girl. My life is lesser because of it. It has been an opportunity I wouldn't have missed for anything. Thank you.

Over the time that I worked with Jane I soon came to know a friendly, lovely, happy, bubbly gorgeous girl with the biggest heart I have ever known. Many hair styles and so many pairs of boots she always looked so glam. I also learnt that it didn't matter about her past she lived for today and was prepared to give and give and give to everyone around her. Jane was a lovely girl who I will always remember, she really was someone who I looked up to and admired especially her big heart. So very sad but I know she will be remembered by everyone who ever met her as being the gorgeous girl that she was......

Life is so unfair. Wish The Doctor was real & could take you back for another chance - you don't deserve to have so short a time.

For the girl that could spot style (or not) a mile away, that wore heels the rest of us could only dream of, for the laugh that came from deep inside, the fabulousness, the quick wit, the ability to recite Shakespeare while in hospital post surgery, for the hospital escape artiste, the sense of humour, the accent I could never quite pick, the maxi dresses before anyone else was wearing them, the fabulous retro fur coats, the sage advice in recent times, and for just being Miss Jane. Miss you babe, sleep well.

I will remember Jane as a very graceful, calm person. We had many conversations in the time we worked together and I am very saddened by the news of Jane's passing.

I have not met Jane. However, it is so sad that the life journey finishes at the age of 42, it is just too young. May Jane rest in peace. It is very sad. From Iris in Suncorp (Sydney).
