It is hard to describe the impact such a great teacher as Mr Gannon has had on our lives. Our Days at jj would have been dull with out your jokes and magic tricks. You will be for ever missed, but not forgotten. Thank you Sir .
Mr Gannon will always be remembered as a fine teacher and a great person who made us laugh. I'm sorry to hear about his passing... PS Who could forget the Goo-Mobile or his famous quote: "Gannon's my name, Economics is my game."
Good bye Pete! You and I often shared a joke and a laugh when you were on canteen duty! You were one of the good ones! But they go way too early!
Hi Pet you are on of the best. I'll never forget you sitting on stage at a HSC farewell assembly with a girl dancing around you to "You can leave your hat on". Love to your family love Di
The name, the location and the age is too much of a coincidence. I was in the same Opportunity Class as Peter at Hurstville Public School in 1961-62. I remember him as a fast runner and for his amazingly correct handwriting. He was one of the better students in the class. He had a sense of humour but he was also quite serious-minded and focused, and quick to detect bullshit. He was a decent kid then, and obviously went on to achieve good things. RIP.
My mentor, my protector, the guy who invented the g-string, and all the friggin faculty meetings. Thank you, my friend. Cherished always. We never did go on our date.
May you rest in peace Mr Gannon. You were a much loved teacher by our commerce and business studies class. Thank you for your friendship and sharing your jokes. Our thoughts go out to your family. Ratih - on behalf of class of 2002
R.I.P Mr. G. Thank U 4 the memories and knowledge.
One of the best classes to be in and one of the most interesting and fun teachers to get to know. RIP Peter.
Hey Sir even though we didnt see eye to eye on things well ok i lie on everything you still never gave up on us as students, its funny how after a few years of growing up once leaving school on how much we actully appreciate all the work you and all the teachers did so for that i thank you. I still remember out on the oval when you tried to get all the soccer balls and we just kept kicking them around and you were chasing them to put in the bag classic. Sir may you rest in peace with the angels above and watch over us once more. Your Headache from JJ Carlos Astorga
MR Gannon comically walked the halls of my beloved JJ Cahill. Always with a smile yet with a sense of justice that always made him a respected teacher. Love goes to your family. Phillip Fernandez
