I will always remember Lucky Dube as a shining star, a candle that was illuminating our dark continent. I remember him as a conscious, well-informed, decent and responsible artist, as reflected in his songs. May peace and respect and understanding prevail amongst all, whatever the race, in memory of him. May we continue to listen to his wise words that are his songs. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen. D L Lukudu, Padak, South Sudan.

The angels cry for you and me Their tears are falling from up above To touch us all and to set us all free They send down their love with such beauty and grace I lift up my head and let the tears touch my face Washing our souls from the hurt that we feel, the pain that is real And when they have finished, their crying all done, we get to feel the freedom. But whats the point in being free when you can not share the freedom. Its just so hard to say goodbye to yesterday. I would rather not say that but see you when that time comes. We will miss you greatly. See you there!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!!

Jah will make the way for Lucky my bretherens. These killers need to repent and share the message with fellow killers. Killing Lucky is tantamount to killing Nelson. I got disgusted by the news from South Africa. ..Eastern Zambia

In the past couple of days, I listen to Lucky's music in front of my wife and kids and I can feel the tears stinging my eyes. Although I manage to figh these back, I cant stop the bleeding of my heart. Who has committed this unforgiveable act of foolishness? How can any human being kill Lucky Dube. I am 40 years old and I have listened to Reggae music from a very involved and privileged point, I have watched members of the consciousness come and go and I can honestly say that aside from Bob Marley (who passed on when I was only 14) no other loss has struck me like Lucky's. Rest in peace, my brother. Although we never met (which is quite odd because I've met most ot the biggest names in Reggae music), I feel you in the depth of my soul. Although you were no saint (just like neither of us) you will surely find a cosy resting place beside the Lord because you truly cared for the majority of His creation - the poor and weak. So long dread. - Tony Ogbata (Nigeria)

I went away to the west indies several years ago, 2003 if i remember correctly, and one day while looking out at the ocean at my sisters beach bar i heard the most beautiful voice ever. it was lucky dube playing out over my sisters cd player. I got goose bumps just taking in his voice and his reasonings in song, he took my breath away. I hadnt heard of lucky dube before that time but he was well established and well loved on the island of st kitts and nevis. I brought lucky dube home with me and my whole family embraced him ever since. We learned of his passing on the day he died, my sisters husband called us in england to let us know. I was mortified and deeply saddened by this tragic waste of a talented life, as were my family. Our usual friday night celebrations were replaced by a huge sense of grief for a loved one. We didnt know him personally, nor had we ever had the pleasure of meeting or hearing him sing live but all of us in the house that day felt as though we knew him intimately through his music. We felt we lost a brother that day and my mother felt she had lost a son. i will never forget lucky dube, he will always be a huge part of our lives. Rest in peace lucky. Your words have been heard and will undoubtedly continue to spread.

I can't imagine a world without Luck Dube. It will take me years to believe that he is gone. He is just irreplaceable! A hero he is and a legend. If it was possible to share life I would have donated some of my years to Lucky Dube for him to continue living and continue to "teach the world" of social, political, spiritual and economic peace. He is physically dead but he lives among us in spirit. May his soul rest in peace. I miss you so much!

SOUTH AFRICA MUST DEAL WITH CRIMINILATY.APARTHEID IS SUBSTANCIALLY FINISHED.DEATH PENALTY MUST APPLIED TO THE GUILTIES.LUCKY DUBE SHOWS THE WORLD THAT MUSIC IS A STRONG ARM TO FIGHT AGAINST DISCRIMINATION.HE IS A PROFET AS JESUS MAHOMET ABRAHAM .WE AFRICANS MUST HONOUR HIS DEVOTION TO RACIAL EQUALTIES
